Greetings on this Tuesday, I’m thankful. I sat in Charlotte, NC (USA), on Sunday, waiting for the flight home. It had been a full and wonderful week.
There is a lot going on, for sure. But I’m thankful to still be participating in God’s work, but I’m ready for what will primarily be family and quiet time between now and early 2025. In this season of giving thanks, expressing gratitude to some incredible individuals who pushed me toward continuous growth and learning is good. It resulted in the desire to be a lifelong learner, willing to take risks as the principles learned were applied. On the evening when Pastor E.W. Caughron and his wife learned of my feeling called to preach, they prayed with me and Sis. Caughron went to their library and gifted me two books about personal Christian growth. Until those books were put in my hands, I did not know Christian Literature was a genre. T.F. Tenney provided my home district church growth and personal growth resources. Anyone who did not experience personal growth in that environment was unlikely to experience personal growth anywhere. The elder never failed to have a book to recommend. He and Thetus pushed the preachers from the Louisiana District to grow themselves. "Grow a pastor, grow a church." Jim Vanover pastored my home church during my transition toward evangelism. He gifted me my treasured and oft-used Wuest Word Studies in the Greek New Testament. Marvin Treece's scholarship on the Greek language and "The End of the Age" prompted me to work harder. If you can find any of his commentaries, I suggest you purchase them. These people answered my questions. Some questions were rather inane. Their mindset and work ethic reminded me never to stop striving for excellence. Jesus and HIS sheep deserve my best. With their influence in mind, I am excited to share something that has benefitted the ministry development of many. My writing is practical, with a goal of application instead of knowledge for knowledge's sake. These tools will benefit ministers regardless of theological background. If you have a friend or family member who feels called to ministry, this Ministry Enrichment Bundle makes a great gift. Take a look. It includes my two most recent books for ministers - Pastoring a Narcissist and Pastoring a Manipulator. The print format is discounted 33%. FREE SHIPPING to the following countries: USA, CA, UK, AU, and NZ.

Is your growth stymied - as a pastor, or in your Christian life? My books and training courses are practical resources aimed at growing people, preachers and churches.
Hello, Good day. My goal is growth - my growth, the growth of individual Christians and the growth of those leading local churches - namely pastors. I wanted to take a moment to share something very personal and meaningful to me—a couple of my favorite Bible quotes. These are particularly relevant to me just now. Perhaps these favorites will resonate with you as they do with me. Quote #1: Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The verse always reminds me that...
Greetings, During the holiday season, music often fills the air. I am grateful for the incredible talent the Lord Jesus has allowed me to work with. The contributions of musicians, praise teams, choirs, and choir directors have consistently added another facet to a service. I've often scheduled a choir or praise team to sing after my preaching. The song they were asked to sing became the sharp point of my message. The role of music in praise and worship is deep. The Bible mentions a rich...
