faith building scriptures for you today

Hello,

Good day.

My goal is growth - my growth, the growth of individual Christians and the growth of those leading local churches - namely pastors.

I wanted to take a moment to share something very personal and meaningful to me—a couple of my favorite Bible quotes.

These are particularly relevant to me just now. Perhaps these favorites will resonate with you as they do with me.

Quote #1:

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The verse always reminds me that no matter how challenging life gets, we are never truly alone, there is one alongside to strength.

Verse #2

Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Whenever I feel uncertain about the future, this verse from the “weeping prophet” reassures me that God has a plan for my life.

We may not always understand His ways, but we can trust that He is guiding us toward something wonderful.

Passage #3

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

I’m reminded to trust Jesus even when I don’t have all the answers.

His wisdom far exceeds my understanding, and when we trust in Him, He will guide our steps.

Now, I’d love to hear from you. What are your favorite verses?

Which passages do you turn to in times of need? Let’s share the beauty of Scripture with one another and grow in faith together.

Feel reply to this newsletter with your favorite verses, reflections, or thoughts, and tell me why it resonates with you. I’m always eager to gain inspiration from you!

Thank you for being a part of this journey and growing with me.

Blessing,

Carlton L. Coon, Sr. (Pastor and Author)

Greetings, During the holiday season, music often fills the air. I am grateful for the incredible talent the Lord Jesus has allowed me to work with. The contributions of musicians, praise teams, choirs, and choir directors have consistently added another facet to a service. I've often scheduled a choir or praise team to sing after my preaching. The song they were asked to sing became the sharp point of my message. The role of music in praise and worship is deep. The Bible mentions a rich...
